‘Leaks’ Blamed for Hindering Aurora ICE Raids

Tom Homan, President Trump’s border czar, claims details of the ICE raids conducted in Aurora last Wednesday were leaked beforehand, hindering the large-scale operation.

More than 100 members of Tren de Aragua gang were targeted during the raids, though it is unclear how many people were taken into custody.

Homan says the gang was given a “heads-up” before the raids, reducing the number arrested and jeopardizing the agents’ safety.

He vowed to address the leak “immediately” and made it clear that anyone who stifles the agency’s ability to get dangerous criminals off the streets will be held accountable.

King Soopers Sues Union Amid Strikes

King Soopers has filed a lawsuit against United Food and Commercial Workers Local Union No. 7 (UFCW Local 7), the workers union that initiated the two-week, 77-store strike that began last Thursday.

According to the lawsuit, the union used illegal negotiating tactics—such as forcing the company to bargain with out-of-state unions—which led to the strike.

King Soopers is also requesting payment for damages caused by the strikes, which it deems unlawful. Since Thursday, affected locations have had to implement adjusted hours, and two more stores have joined the initial 77.

In response to the suit, Local 7 released a statement calling it “baseless” and “frivolous.” The union is confident it will “successfully defend against” the claims in court.

Cold Fronts Return to Colorado

Arctic air and light snow are expected to end the recent stretch of warm weather in Colorado, with two separate cold fronts on the way tonight and tomorrow.

Snow flurries and temperature drops are set to arrive this evening. Accumulation will mostly be limited to the mountains and foothills, while the plains could see up to 2 inches.

A more significant weather system will develop Tuesday afternoon. The plains could see 2-5 inches, with the mountains getting higher amounts, though snow totals should remain under 8 inches.

Slick driving conditions are anticipated starting Tuesday night and lasting most of Wednesday. Extreme cold is also a concern, with temperatures in some places falling to single-digit or below-zero lows.
