Article Icon 1Boebert Asks DOGE to Pause Rail Funding

Rep. Lauren Boebert is asking the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to reevaluate federal funding of the Front Range Passenger Rail, a project that would provide passenger rail service from Fort Collins to Pueblo.

In a letter to DOGE and the U.S. Department of Transportation, Boebert expressed concerns with the project’s cost and impact on residents’ “quality of life,” calling for a pause in funding until a full review is completed.

Gov. Jared Polis claims no federal funding is planned for the project’s construction. According to his office, the state plans to fund the project using repurposed freight rail lines as a “lowest cost option.”

As the project is still in its planning stages, no timeline is currently available. A measure to fund it could appear on the ballot as soon as 2026.

Article Icon 1Two Charged in Poudre Canyon Murder

Two suspects have been charged in connection with the murder of a Greeley man whose body was found burning beneath a bridge in Poudre Canyon earlier this month.

Firefighters discovered the victim, later identified as 49-year-old Gerardo Hernandez Lucio, near the Stevens Gulch Picnic Area on April 11. Investigators determined the man died of a gunshot wound and ruled the death a homicide.

Days later, suspect Isaac Valdez-Salvador was apprehended near Mead after a high-speed chase on Interstate 25 ended with him fleeing on foot and being struck by a vehicle. A second suspect, his alleged co-conspirator, was arrested soon after.

Authorities say both suspects knew the victim and are facing multiple felony charges, including first-degree murder after deliberation.

Denver Animal Control has caught Park Hill Dave, the elusive dog who’s been roaming the shuttered Park Hill Golf Course and dodging people for years.

Nicknamed Mad Max by some neighbors, he gained local fame for patrolling the locked-up grounds, steering clear of humans, and deftly evading capture. Last week, the city launched Operation PHD to catch Dave, hoping to employ him in the parks department. As a city employee, he would join a team of dogs that chase geese off golf courses.

City workers set a humane trap, and Dave wandered into it on Wednesday, lured by a steak. See a video here.

He’s now at the Denver Animal Shelter, where staff will scan for a microchip and attempt to contact any owners. If no one comes forward, Denver Parks and Rec is first in line to adopt him.

Japanese Water Soluble Plastic Has American Competition

Japan’s RIKEN institute recently unveiled a plastic that dissolves in seawater within hours—a breakthrough in the fight against pollution. But Florida-based Timeplast may have quietly surpassed it.

With seven patents and a proprietary process called “molecular disintegration,” Timeplast’s plastics dissolve not just in seawater, but also in freshwater, rain, humidity, and soil. Unlike traditional solutions, these materials leave no microplastics behind and maintain the strength of conventional plastics. Already used in 3D-printing and flexible composites, Timeplast’s lineup is versatile and scalable.

They’re on a mission to revolutionize multiple industries:

  • Packaging

  • 3D Printing

  • Healthcare

  • Agriculture

  • Consumer Goods

  • Marine

  • Construction

  • Retail & Events

As you can see, the market potential is enormous ($1.3T in total). That’s just one reason why they’ve already attracted over 6,000 investors.

This is your opportunity to join Timeplast as they lead a plastic revolution with global implications. Become a Timeplast shareholder now.

Meet the Genius Who Invented Plastic That Dissolves in Water

The world produces 450 million metric tons of plastic waste each year. Microplastics are seeping into our oceans and food. They even show up in our bodies. So you can imagine how revolutionary a new kind of plastic that completely dissolves in water can be.

Thatʼs exactly what Timeplast created. The company patented a water-soluble, time-programmable plastic that vanishes without harming the environment. Major players are already partnering with Timeplast for their patented technology.

Now you can invest in Timeplast as they scale in their $1.3 trillion market. Become a Timeplast shareholder here.
