Join the Movement—Invest in The Flyover

We launched The Flyover to build something rare in American media—a newsroom focused on facts and real stories, not political narratives and biased reporting.

We’re now about halfway to our investment goal, thanks to more than 1,540 readers who have invested in our mission of independent, reader-driven journalism.

If you are an investor, thank you.

If you are not, I hope you will consider joining your fellow readers.

Before I focus on bringing in new investors, I would like to offer you, our readers, a special opportunity to be part of this next chapter. You’ve been with us from the start. You understand why The Flyover is needed—and I’d rather grow with you by my side than rely on outside investors who don’t share our values.

Making Investing More Accessible

That’s why I’ve asked our legal counsel to lower the minimum investment to $500—to make ownership in The Flyover accessible to more of the people who built it: you, our readers.

Why Invest in The Flyover

  1. Independent journalism matters. We answer to readers, not advertisers, political activists, or corporate boards.
  2. Our audience is soaring. From a kitchen-table startup to over 3.3 million readers nationwide, The Flyover is among the top 1% of fastest-growing media startups in America.
  3. We’re delivering results. Since our first investor round, readership has grown 27%, while maintaining a strong gross profit margin and expanding our reporting reach.
  4. You’re investing in trust. Nearly every dollar goes directly toward expansion and innovation—maintaining the fact-first, unbiased approach too often abandoned by legacy media.
  5. Return on your investment. As The Flyover continues its positive trajectory, there are several ways readers–turned–investors could benefit in the future: through a sale of the company, a public listing, or dividend distributions. While none of these are guaranteed, they reflect potential outcomes if our growth continues on its current path.

Owning a part of The Flyover is special. And even though it’s much more complicated and requires additional work for us to manage a larger group of smaller investors, I have instructed our attorney to proceed anyway. Because I want to partner with you, our readers.

If you’ve been on the fence, now is the time to invest.

Will you be part of the movement that changes the way Americans consume their news?

Article Icon 1Some Health Insurance Costs to Double

Coloradans who buy health insurance without help from an employer or government program will pay more than double next year on average, the Colorado Division of Insurance announced Monday.

The expected 101% increase is largely due to the expiration of enhanced federal healthcare subsidies. It will affect roughly 285,000 Coloradans who buy coverage on the individual marketplace, and state officials estimate 75,000 could be priced out of insurance.

A congressional deadlock over whether to extend the subsidies is a key sticking point in the federal government shutdown, now in its fifth week.

Open enrollment begins Saturday, Nov. 1. State insurance officials say it’s “not too late” to extend the subsidies, even if that happens during open enrollment.

Article Icon 1Judge Blocks Ramsey Case Records

Attorneys for Michael Clark last week requested files from the unsolved 1996 JonBenét Ramsey murder case, claiming both investigations were similarly flawed.

In 2012, a Boulder jury found Clark guilty of a 1994 murder. That conviction was vacated in April based on retested DNA evidence. Prosecutors said last month they plan to retry him.

Explaining the request, Clark’s defense team claims Boulder police made “colossal mistakes” in the Ramsey case—reflecting its “incompetence” in the 1990s—and argues similar mistakes led to Clark’s conviction.

A judge on Tuesday denied the requests, saying they would “open an enormous worm can” that could impact a jury down the road.

Article Icon 1Berthoud Company Building Rocket Test Site

A multimillion-dollar Northern Colorado aerospace company is building a new rocket testing pad near Briggsdale in Weld County.

Ursa Major, headquartered in Berthoud, develops rocket engines, hypersonics, and other propulsion technology for both the U.S. military and the private sector.

The new 400-acre test site joins an existing facility near Interstate 25, expanding the company’s capacity to design, build, and test 3D-printed solid rocket motor systems in support of national defense.

Bill Murray, co-founder, said the company is growing rapidly and looking to hire more Coloradans, particularly graduates from Colorado State University and the University of Colorado.
