Cost of Living Third-Highest in US

Colorado ranks as the third-most expensive place to live in the country, according to the Colorado Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber’s scorecard shows the state’s cost-of-living rank has risen over the past few years. In 2022, Colorado’s cost of living was 16th highest, or 34th most affordable.

The chamber attributes the state’s surging costs to home prices, higher insurance rates, child care expenses, and inflation, though Colorado has shown improvement in areas like business, health, and wellness.

According to the chamber, Colorado ranks 48th in the nation for housing affordability.

Fort Collins Driver Makes NASCAR Debut

A Fort Collins driver made his NASCAR debut over the weekend.

Scotty Milan grew up around cars, with his father owning an auto body business, and got into racing at just 7 years old.

Milan, a Colorado native now based in Fort Collins, competed in his first NASCAR ARCA race on Saturday, May 23, at the Colorado National Speedway in Dacono.

“I travel all over to go race and it’s never here in Colorado, so it’s nice to finally race in my hometown,” Milan said of the race.
