CPW Kills Wolf Linked to 10 Attacks

Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) has killed a lone uncollared wolf believed to be responsible for 10 depredatory attacks involving 22 sheep since summer 2025, the agency said Saturday.

CPW says footage proved the wolf—originally part of the Copper Creek Pack—was responsible for attacks in Rio Blanco County in 2025 and early 2026. CPW’s past attempts to kill the wolf were unsuccessful.

According to CPW, ranchers impacted by the attacks worked with the agency to identify and deploy all viable and reasonable non-lethal hazing techniques before wildlife officials acted.

This marks the second wolf CPW has killed since wolf reintroduction began in 2023, an agency spokesperson said.

7 Indicted in ‘Molly Wonka’ Operation

Seven people have been indicted on 48 counts in connection to a large-scale drug operation dubbed “Molly Wonka,” the Colorado Bureau of Investigation said.

A Colorado grand jury indicted the group on various charges, including drug trafficking, manufacturing, and conspiracy. They’re accused of operating out of Basalt, a town in Eagle and Pitkin counties, from February 2024 through April 2026.

The organization allegedly produced and sold products consisting of narcotics—including ketamine, MDA, 2C-B (or “pink cocaine”), and MDMA—infused into items like chocolate bars and nasal sprays. The products were distributed to customers nationwide.

The case will be prosecuted by the Fifth Judicial District Attorney’s Office with assistance from the Colorado Attorney General’s Office in Eagle County.

Cheyenne Mountain Incident in FBI Files

An alleged UFO sighting over Cheyenne Mountain near Colorado Springs is one of the many incidents detailed in documents released by the Pentagon Friday.

According to the file, in February 2022, five U.S. Army members at Fort Carson walked out of an office and saw a potato-shaped object hovering over the mountain.

“The object was ‘potato’ shaped with distinct edges and appeared to look painted in a creamy/whitish opalescent color,” the document reads. The men told the FBI the object vanished after two minutes. See a rendering here.

Investigators looking into the incident suggested with “low confidence” that it may have been “backscattering of sunlight” reflected from the mountain’s snow and illuminating low clouds above.
