Article Icon 1Space Command Relocation in Works

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth met with Gen. Stephen Whiting last week to discuss the relocation of U.S. Space Command, the Pentagon announced Friday.

During the meeting, Whiting “presented current relocation courses of action,” as both leaders discussed how to balance speed, cost, and execution in the moving process. Space Command also said it’s created a task force to coordinate the move.

President Trump’s decision to move the command from Colorado Springs to Huntsville, Alabama, has faced bipartisan pushback in Colorado. Attorney General Phil Weiser is suing to block the relocation.

Rep. Jeff Crank (R-CO 5) said he’s received assurances the move will only affect headquarters staff—about 1,000 of the command’s roughly 1,700 personnel.

Article Icon 1Xcel Seeks $356M Rate Increase

Xcel Energy, the state’s largest electricity provider, is requesting a 9.9% rate increase, or about $10 on the average monthly residential bill, in 2026.

The utility filed the request with state regulators Nov. 21, seeking to raise $356 million in new revenue to recoup long-term infrastructure investments and meet rising costs.

The proposed rate hike comes at a time when regulators and consumers are increasingly concerned about electricity affordability. Xcel noted that, even if increased, its rates would remain below the national average.

Xcel’s request will undergo the Public Utilities Commission’s review and public comment process. If approved, the increase would take effect in August 2026.

Article Icon 1Thanksgiving Weather, Travel Outlook

Colorado is in store for a mild and dry Thanksgiving, but a weekend snowstorm may impact post-holiday travel.

A brief cooldown will end by Thursday, setting the stage for a relatively warm holiday across the state. Highs in Denver will be around 56 degrees.

Temperatures will plummet on Saturday as a cold front moves into Colorado. Snow showers are possible, even in Denver, which has its best chance yet to see its first measurable snowfall of the season.

The storm could hamper travel on Interstate 70, with more than 1.3 million additional drivers expected on U.S. roads compared to last Thanksgiving.

Children are hungry. Let’s change that.

Food.

For those of us who have enough, it’s an easy need to fill. But millions of children go hungry. Their bodies can’t develop, much less their minds. They need a miracle.

You can be their miracle. Your compassionate gift of $30 brings a nutritious meal to three children every school day for one month.

Anita knew hunger firsthand. She loves to sing and aspires to a career in the music industry. She wants to do well in school, but hunger used to distract her and hold her back. That was before Convoy of Hope came to her village in Nepal.

“My family and I didn’t trust outside organizations, because they would leave after a short period of time,” Anita remembers. “But Convoy has done so much. They didn’t just give us food; they taught us to grow it ourselves.”

Many children are going to bed hungry tonight.

But you can change that.

You give. Convoy delivers. And hundreds of thousands of children are fed.
