Article Icon 1Auraria Investigated for Antisemitism

Denver’s Auraria Campus and the three universities it houses are under federal investigation for possible antisemitism related to a pro-Palestinian protest held last April.

The 23-day encampment protested Israel’s actions in Gaza, demanding that the universities financially divest from the country. It ended with the arrest of approximately 40 individuals.

In its review, a federal panel raised concerns about antisemitic slogans reportedly used during the protest, including calls for Israel’s extermination and global terrorist attacks. Student organizers have denied the accusations.

The panel will conduct a year-long study into “the nature, prevalence, and impact” of on-campus antisemitism and may recommend policy changes based on its findings.

Article Icon 1Impact of Chevron Blowout Uncertain

Last month’s blowout at a Chevron-operated oil and gas well in Galeton released toxic chemicals, including benzene, as far as two miles, according to tests by Colorado State University (CSU).

The incident began when a geyser of water, crude oil, and gas erupted from the well, prompting 14 families to evacuate. It was contained five days later.

Downwind of the site, CSU researchers detected benzene, a carcinogen and respiratory irritant, at levels 10 times the standard for chronic exposure. Methane was detected at 20 ppm, over twice the state’s health guideline.

Chevron claims that all measurements in the area “have been below levels of concern,” but independent testing showed higher levels. Monitoring at the nearby Galeton Elementary will continue for the next few years.

The Colorado Rockies fired manager Bud Black on Sunday after a historically bad start to the season. Bench coach Mike Redmond was also fired.

The team announced the decision a day after losing to the San Diego Padres 21-0. Even with a subsequent 9-3 victory, they sit at 7-33—one of the worst 40-game starts in MLB history.

Third base coach Warren Schaeffer will be interim manager through the 2025 season. Clint Hurdle, the current hitting coach, was named interim bench coach.

“We have to get better and move forward—we owe it to our fans to play better baseball,” Bill Schmidt, the Rockies’ general manager, said Sunday.

The $1.5T Tech Upgrade Our Cities Have Been Waiting For

Wi-Fi alone can’t handle the technologies connecting businesses, schools, and major institutions.

That’s why brands like Crayola are tapping into IotaComm’s nationwide wireless network. It’s less costly than Wi-Fi but powerful enough to help build “smarter” operations across entire cities and towns.

IotaComm’s cutting-edge IoT platform, Delphi360, can help to improve air quality, energy usage, and traffic—and is planning to integrate AI in its next product release.

Here’s why it’s such a game-changer:

  •  IotaComm owns a nationwide portfolio of scarce FCC-licensed spectrum

  • It’s a $1.5T Internet of Things market opportunity

  • Potential to reduce energy usage by up to 30%

But there’s even better news…

IotaComm is giving investors a chance to participate in their growth. Learn more about becoming an IotaComm shareholder here.
