Question: What unique roadside attraction can be found just north of Alamosa and west of Great Sand Dunes National Park?

Answer: Just outside the small town of Hooper in the San Luis Valley is the UFO Watchtower. Judy Messoline, inspired by local reports of strange aerial phenomena, built the watchtower in 2000. More than 300 sightings have been logged at the site, which, thanks to the region’s exceptionally dark skies, is optimal for stargazing.
