Article Icon 1Polis Signs Housing Bill

Gov. Jared Polis signed a bill into law Wednesday that will help public schools, colleges, universities, transit agencies, and certain nonprofits bypass some local zoning rules to build housing.

Effective 2028, HB26-1001 will require local governments with populations over 2,000 to let qualifying organizations build residential units on land they own, even if it’s not zoned for residential construction.

Proponents of the bill, all Democrats, say it will help organizations work with local governments to expand affordable housing options. Opponents argue it usurps local land-use authority and will drive up, not lower, housing costs.

Also Wednesday, Polis signed SB26-001, a bill aimed at accelerating workforce housing development. HB26-1308, which would let homeowners split their lot in two and sell one of the parcels, passed the House Tuesday.

Article Icon 1Broncos Set to Close Stadium Deal

The Denver Broncos will pay $45.8 million for the 58.5-acre Burnham Yard, site of the team’s future stadium, under an agreement recently approved by state officials.

The state will sell the land at a loss, having paid $50 million for the property in 2021. The Colorado Transportation Investment Office expects to close the deal by May 15.

The 150-acre project will be privately funded by the team, though it will also benefit from $140 million in city-funded improvements to nearby infrastructure.

The Broncos plan to obtain construction permits as soon as January 2027. The stadium is slated to open in time for the 2031 season.

Judd Bronson, 52, of Windsor, received the Carnegie Medal for Heroism this week for saving a woman and her two dogs from an icy pond last January.

Bronson was walking on the Poudre Trail when he heard faint calls for help. Tara Vreeland, 41, and her two golden retrievers had fallen into the semi-frozen pond when one of the dogs chased geese onto its surface.

Springing into action, Bronson walked, then crawled, roughly 150 feet over the thin ice, using large sticks to distribute his weight before hauling out then-unresponsive Vreeland and both dogs. Vreeland was taken to the hospital and recovered, and the dogs were unharmed.

Just 17 other people in the U.S. and Canada received the Carnegie Medal, described as North America’s highest civilian honor for heroism, on March 24. See a list here.

AI’s 80,000-Ton Battery Problem

As AI infrastructure explodes, so does lithium demand. Google’s AI data centers currently use 100 million+ lithium-ion cells for reliable, always-on power.

The problem? Big Tech’s race to build massive new data center capacity has Morgan Stanley forecasting an 80,000-ton lithium shortage this year.

Few companies are better positioned to benefit than EnergyX. Their patented tech produces up to 3X more lithium than traditional methods at speeds 500X faster than evaporation ponds.

Beyond the tech, they have rights to ~150,000 acres of lithium-rich land across North and South America, and they’ve just commissioned Project Lonestar, which could be America’s largest DLE lithium production plant.

Industry leaders like General Motors and POSCO have already invested. Join them as an early-stage EnergyX shareholder before EnergyX’s share price increases after April 16.

➤ Seniors: This Is Why You Struggle to Stand Up After 60. Harvard research recently uncovered a hidden condition that dries out your joints from the inside—a slow, invisible process called “joint drought” that gets worse each decade after 50. It’s not just cartilage loss or inflammation. Your joints are literally starving for the lubricating fluid they need to move freely. A Boston doctor’s targeted approach to reversing joint drought has already helped over 300,000 Americans move with less stiffness without surgery or injections. [Read the Full Article →]

China’s 60% Stranglehold on Lithium is Cracking

China dictates the flow of 60% of the world’s lithium. That’s about to change.

America already has the 5th-most lithium reserves in the world. Now, domestic innovators like EnergyX are preparing to ramp up production to unlock this untapped supply.

Their patented tech can recover up to 3X more lithium than traditional methods. That’s already earned investment from giants like General Motors. Even better, they already have rights to nearly 150,000 acres of lithium-rich land across the Americas.

That includes up to 9.8 million tons of lithium in Chile alone, a $1.1 billion/year revenue opportunity at projected market prices. As China’s lithium becomes more volatile, these assets only become more valuable.

Now’s your chance to claim an early-stage stake in EnergyX’s growth. Invest in EnergyX at $12/share by April 16.
