Article Icon 1Measles Exposure Possible at DIA

A Jefferson County adult with measles may have exposed thousands of people during three trips through Denver International Airport from Oct. 3 to Oct. 5, state health officials said Thursday.

The person, whose vaccination status is unknown, likely caught the virus while traveling outside Colorado. The exposure windows cover gates in all three concourses, the airport train, and employee shuttle buses.

The patient also spent several hours at a CareNow Urgent Care in Arvada on Oct. 7. Anyone exposed could develop symptoms through Oct. 28.

It’s Colorado’s 26th measles case this year, spread across nine counties. Twenty-two of those patients were unvaccinated.

Article Icon 1CU Fraternity Rethinks Party Safety

Members of CU Boulder’s Triangle fraternity interviewed female students about their fears of sexual assault and used the answers to write new safety steps for the chapter’s parties.

The effort follows a lawsuit alleging seven Cornell University fraternity members sexually assaulted a woman in 2024 after pressuring her to take drugs and alcohol. Prosecutors have reopened the criminal investigation.

In a video Triangle posted on Instagram, CU women describe staying on guard around fraternities. They ask men to keep their heads “on a swivel.”

CU Boulder survey data from 2024 found Greek-affiliated undergraduate women were no more likely to report being sexually assaulted than other undergraduate women.

At UCCS, Interfraternity Council president Keison Morales said chapters use sober monitors, and members are Narcan-trained. The campus logged 191 sexual misconduct allegations in its latest fiscal year.

Colorado Springs is the nation’s best metro area for small businesses, according to a new ranking from banking platform Bluevine, with Denver close behind at No. 2.

Greeley came in at No. 12, making Colorado the only state with three metros in the top 15. Denver ranked first for business growth, while Greeley ranked first on the cost of doing business.

The Springs scored well on new business applications and SBA loan activity. New Bluevine account openings there jumped 133% in a year, the most of any top-15 metro.

Bluevine studied 100 metros using census, labor, and SBA data. Its own customer activity made up 30% of each score.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and the heart of our neighborhoods,” Mayor Yemi Mobolade said.

The Pentagon’s Got Their Eye on This Tech

One of the biggest indicators for forward-thinking investors is where the US government puts their money. They move first on the technology they know is going to shape the future.

First, they bet big on jet engines. Then drones. Now? It’s flying cars.  This August, the U.S. Air Force just signed a $142M deal for a flying car company building five-seater fleets. But our nation’s defense can’t stop there. Our nation’s most covert operations need smaller, personal aircrafts. And Doroni, the company positioned to lead the $100B personal eVTOL category, aims to capture this opportunity.

Their flying car, the H1-X opens the skies to all members of the military. Their SOULAI platform is so intuitive, you can pilot their aircraft after 25 hours of training. And its patented ducted fan system is designed to be safer than competitors.

This is your chance to get in at the private stage. Invest in Doroni today at $3.30 share before the share price changes after 10/22.

Morgan Stanley Calls this a $9T Opportunity

Morgan Stanley predicts that the flying car industry will grow 185,850% by 2050. In fact, they say it will reach $9 trillion in size, more than twice as valuable as today’s global car market.
