Article Icon 1Forecasts Call for Snowy Winter

Colorado’s El Niño has a 75% chance of ranking among the strongest on record, according to a new long-term forecast.

The forecast favors southern Colorado, with outlook in the north less certain. OpenSnow, meanwhile, found the state’s median El Niño winter finishes at 106% of normal snowpack, naming 1997-98 as the closest match to this year’s event.

OpenSnow forecasters gave Colorado a 50-50 shot at an above-average winter, with strong odds of a snowy spring.

The season’s first major storm may arrive Oct. 10 to 14, though some meteorologists expect modest Colorado totals, including 2 inches at Crested Butte and 1 inch at Wolf Creek.

Article Icon 1Adams 12 Closes Six Schools

The Adams 12 Five Star Schools board voted 4-1 Wednesday to close five elementary schools and Shadow Ridge Middle School, affecting 1,586 students starting in 2027-28.

Superintendent Chris Gdowski said the district has about 7,400 fewer students than eight years ago. The plan is expected to save about $5 million a year after its first year.

Separately, in Boulder Valley, parents from Douglass, Flatirons, and Mesa elementary schools took their fight against consolidation to court Thursday, claiming the district broke Colorado’s Open Meetings Law.

After a two-hour hearing, the judge took the case under advisement and won’t rule for at least two weeks. The district’s consolidation plan affects 16 schools.

The Great American Beer Festival heads outdoors for the first time this weekend, trading the Colorado Convention Center for Denver’s Levitt Pavilion in the Ruby Hill neighborhood.

More than 200 breweries will pour from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and the PAIRED beer-and-food experience returns with independent breweries and acclaimed chefs.

The reworked festival tests a new format with fewer people and bigger pours. For the first time, Sunday’s awards ceremony will be open to everyone attending.

The Investment Hiding Inside Every AI Chip

Everyone knows AI is powered by chips. Almost nobody knows those chips run on tungsten.

It’s one of Earth’s hardest-to-replace metals. Yet somehow, America produces almost none. United States Tungsten is changing that.

They’re redeveloping what was once America’s largest tungsten facility, the “Tungsten Queen” in North Carolina. It holds roughly 1M tons of minerals, worth $665M+ at today’s prices.

Right on time, too. America’s biggest AI rival, China, supplies 84% of global tungsten. It’s already tightened exports. There’s no telling how long that door will stay open for American companies.

Now’s your chance to invest as United States Tungsten works to open a new door at home. Become a shareholder before midnight PT tonight to qualify for up to 23% in United States Tungsten bonus shares.

Unlocking America’s $665M ‘Tungsten Queen’

The U.S. is racing to rebuild a critical mineral supply chain. Tungsten is essential to the military, but China controls 84% of the global supply.

So the government is phasing out tungsten imports from adversaries and growing the domestic supply. That’s a serious opportunity in America, and United States Tungsten is taking advantage.

They’re reviving what was once America’s largest tungsten facility, home to $665M+ worth of minerals at today’s prices.

The going rate’s already up by 500% in the past year. And this is a rare chance for you to invest in a proven asset.

But you only have until midnight PT to make the most of it. Invest in United States Tungsten before tonight’s deadline to qualify for up to 23% in bonus shares.
