Colorado regulators are warning that marijuana vapes sold at 405 stores were made with an ingredient containing methylene chloride, an industrial solvent.

The Craft-brand devices, made by Staycon LLC, were sold between March 27 and Sept. 25 in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Pueblo West, Denver, Las Animas, and other towns. The Marijuana Enforcement Division says it will update its advisory if it finds more affected products.

The EPA says short-term exposure to the solvent can harm the nervous system, and long-term exposure is linked to liver and lung cancer. State officials say they haven’t heard of anyone getting sick.

Consumers should destroy the products or return them to the store where they bought them. Anyone with symptoms should seek medical care and file a report with the state.

Harrison School District 2 says masked, armed men who identified themselves as immigration officials approached Turman Elementary students walking to school in Colorado Springs on Friday.

The men were parked in unmarked vehicles and told students they were looking for someone in the neighborhood. The school went on secure status for less than 20 minutes, and some parents took their kids home.

“They were posturing across the street from our school with guns, standing on top of trucks talking about ICE,” Superintendent Wendy Birhanzel said. She said local agencies usually notify the district before operating nearby.

ICE disputes that its officers were aggressive, saying students approached them and pointed out where a man who had fled arrest had gone. It says officers never entered school property, and the man, still at large, poses no public risk.

The principal’s letter to families said the officials didn’t approach the school or try to enter the building.

A Colorado Lotto+ jackpot worth $1,090,202 went unclaimed when the ticket expired at 4:45 p.m. Thursday.

The winning ticket was sold March 28 at a Conoco on North First Street in Berthoud. It matched all six numbers: 3, 11, 22, 23, 30, and 31.

The winner could have claimed the prize at any of four claims offices in Denver, Fort Collins, Grand Junction, or Pueblo. Nobody came forward.

The money now goes to the Lottery’s beneficiaries, including Great Outdoors Colorado, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and the Conservation Trust Fund. “The Lottery wants every winner to claim their prize and enjoy their winnings, and we remind players regularly to check their tickets,” a Lottery official said.
