Question: What is Colorado’s state rock?

Answer: Yule marble became Colorado’s official state rock in 2004, thanks in part to the efforts of a Lakewood Girl Scout troop. The white marble is used in the basement of the Colorado Capitol as well as several national monuments, including the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
