Article Icon 1Wolf Attacks Reported Over Weekend

The Colorado Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) reported multiple wolf attacks over the holiday weekend that left two calves dead and others injured.

According to the CCA, wolves killed one calf at Crystal River Ranch on Friday, a second at McCabe Ranch on Saturday, and injured a third in the heart of Lost Marbles Ranch’s calving grounds on Sunday.

Tom Harrington, manager of Crystal River Ranch and CCA president, claims Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) sent a range rider to patrol the wrong area and failed to notify him of the wolves’ presence until it was too late.

In its press release, the CCA identified the wolves as members of the Copper Creek pack, which CPW relocated last fall due to its repeated livestock depredations.

The Boulder County Coroner’s Office released its findings in the death of Megan Trussell, an 18-year-old University of Colorado Boulder student found dead in Boulder Canyon on Feb. 15.

In a press release Tuesday, the coroner’s office said Trussell died from toxic exposure to amphetamines and hypothermia, ruling the cause of death a suicide.

Trussell’s parents, Vanessa Diaz and Joe Trussell, dispute the findings. They argue other factors in the case—such as her missing phone and purse, both found miles away—suggest a different cause.

Though the official investigation is over, the family says they plan to have a private autopsy done and may hire a private investigator.

The U.S. Air Force Academy’s class of 2025 will graduate today during a ceremony at Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs.

The ceremony runs from 9 a.m. to around 1:30 p.m. and will be livestreamed here. Secretary of the Air Force Troy Meink will be this year’s commencement speaker.

The Thunderbirds, the Air Force’s demonstration squadron known for high-speed aerial maneuvers, will perform a flyover of the stadium just after the cadets’ hat toss.

Attendees should arrive early and expect traffic delays, as there will be increased security and several road closures around the stadium.

He’s Already IPO’d Once—This Time’s Different

Spencer Rascoff co-founded Zillow, scaling it into a $16B real estate giant. But everyday investors couldn’t invest until after the IPO, missing early gains.

“I wish we had done a round accessible to retail investors prior to Zillow’s IPO,” Spencer later said.

Now he’s doing just that. Spencer teamed up with fellow Zillow exec Austin Allison to launch Pacaso. Pacaso’s co-ownership marketplace is disrupting the $1.3T vacation home market. They’ve already surpassed $110M in gross profit and $1B in transactions.

They also recently reserved their Nasdaq ticker PCSO. But unlike Zillow, you can invest in Pacaso as a private company.

Become a Pacaso investor at $2.80/share before midnight PST tonight.
